She was not a "people person" but she loved her students (at least the ones who paid attention) and she loved her "Chillers and Thrillers" (said in the thickest Faw Reeve accent, mind you) class especially.

Her beloved sister (my mom) passing in 2007 and her subsequent cancer diagnosis was a huge blow to the family. I'm sorry you didn't get to say goodbye to her. Not many people did as she was a fiercely private person.

In my early days of this blog (some 14 years ago) Lynda edited every single post I put up--lovingly so. But she wasn't too keen on me sharing too many of her stories. On more than one occasion she told me "you can tell the world whatever you want after I'm gone". I had no idea that that day would come so soon after I began to tell the stories I could.

Thanks again for reaching out and keeping Lynda's memory alive.

Be well,

~AlexF. As I unpavked my room today to make the move to our new highschool I uncovered a lot that your aunt bestowed to me. She was awesome and I started thinkong of her and decided to look her up. I remember hearing she passed away many years ago but never knew how or why. Your story was so good it brought back many memories I had of Lynda. I still have an email she sent me once i took over jer favorite class "Thrillers and Chillers" and one day if you're available Id love to read it for you. Not many people will appreciate it like I do but I think you will.

I am so happy you wrote this and will share the memories with as many people as I can that still remember her at Durfee. I started in 2001 and she immmediately took me under her wing and helped me when she could. When she stopped workimg at Durfee it was sad since I never got to see her again or say goodbye. At least I can say I finally heard her story though. Thanks again and please reach out when u get tjis and Ill share with you what I have from her.

-Karl Amaral
PS:I am also easy to find on social media if you have any.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10197964644293374462noreply@blogger.com
